Architectural detail that changes how a room feels.
A feature wall is an architectural composition of panels, spacing, edges and material transitions. We develop it in relation to doors, adjacent cabinetry and the room’s wider proportions.
Texture and proportion
Slatted walls, fluted panels, veneer surfaces, painted MDF compositions and half-height treatments create different levels of texture. The spacing and thickness should be considered at room scale as well as in close-up.
- Slatted and fluted treatments
- Real wood veneer panels
- Decorative MDF and painted compositions
- Half-height paneling and architectural trim
Alignment and transitions
Panel joints, grain direction, corners and the relationship to skirting or ceiling details need to be resolved. Existing doors and devices may need specific trim, reveals or access arrangements.
- Consistent slat spacing and reveals
- Panel junctions and edge detailing
- Door openings and device positions
- Installation conditions and wall preparation
Conceal or connect
Wall finishes can be coordinated with cabinet fronts and selected concealed storage. The door or access mechanism still needs appropriate structure, weight capacity and clearances.
- Coordinated wall and cabinetry finishes
- Integrated access panels
- Selected concealed storage fronts
- Service access and practical opening details
Light within the detail
Where included, lighting can accent a panel or reveal without exposing its wiring. Channels, diffusers, drivers and power-supply locations are planned with the millwork.
- Lighting channels and diffusers
- Concealed wiring routes
- Accessible driver locations
- Electrical coordination within the agreed scope

Can panels match kitchen cabinetry?
A coordinated material direction can be developed. Matching depends on the selected products, grain and finish samples.
Can panels go around existing doors?
Yes, subject to the opening, trim, clearances and installation conditions.
Can real wood veneer be used?
Yes, where suitable. Substrate, grain layout, finishing and edge details are part of the specification.
Can wall paneling conceal storage?
Selected doors and access panels can be integrated, with the structure and hardware reviewed for the application.
